Efficient Home provides boots-on-the-ground support for energy program implementers in the mid-Atlantic region.

For over a decade, Efficient Home staff has delivered the field services needed for utility companies, local and state government agencies, and local nonprofit organizations to deliver successful energy efficiency programs. 

Baseload Energy Programs 

Since inception, Efficient Home has provided baseload measure implementation for BGE and PEPCO under the Empower MD programs, serving both single-family and multifamily homes.  

BPI-certified technicians install: 

Customer education, data collection and marketing and referrals for other programs are provided to utility customers by our trained staff.    

Home Energy Auditing & Energy Retrofit Programs 

Efficient Home was involved in the initial launch in Maryland of the DOE Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES) program. Now active with multiple utility HPwES programs in multiple states, we provide auditing, modeling, and home performance improvements for open market customers, assuring program implementers have the trade allies needed for successful program implementation. 

Income-Qualified Weatherization Programs 

Efficient Home provides audits, installations, and quality-control services for the implementation of weatherization programs. We currently serve state and local agencies, local weatherization agencies and nonprofit entities with both single family and multifamily programs.   

I have to say the people that worked here, were just so awesome. They never stopped working. From the insulators, plumbing, electrician. They were also so kind and personable, they never made me feel like a charity case and Dave was just so WONDERFUL to deal with. He explained everything and went out of his way to help me with some things he called minor, but I didn’t see it that way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all are sure a blessing. I am so very GRATEFUL. They certainly should be proud of everyone. You all are such GOOD PEOPLE!!! THANKS AGAIN.
